Hi, I'm Chelsea!
If we haven't met yet, it's such a joy to connect and I'm truly glad that you've found yourself here. My guess is that if you're here right now, we probably have a lot in common. I thought it'd be great to share a bit about me.
After years working in various settings from college counseling centers to private practices to crisis houses, I'm on a mission to help reduce the stigma around emotional well-being and mental health, and to share the tremendous value of learning skills and tools that support you through every part of life.
As a Certified Life Coach, Therapist and speaker, I have the great honor of supporting and guiding people all over the world through some of the "stickiest" parts of life. A lot of the parts of life we don't openly talk about, but we all experience at one point or another.
I spent years of my life stuck in this space too. I was so overwhelmed and bogged down by the expectations of the world, and what I thought everyone else expected of me that I felt really anxious and overwhelmed. I was doing the things. I was checking boxes and pursuing what I was told I should. I was trying so hard to take care of myself but I still found myself feeling stuck, depleted, anxious, sad and overall underwhelmed with my life.
I believe that we need to do a much better job at normalizing emotional well-being as part of honoring yourself and growing into the best version of you so that you can go out and create the absolute best life you can dream of for yourself.

A time to explore and identify what actually matters to YOU in your life. Not what society, your parents or best friends have told you that you should be doing, but actually defining what it is that you're working towards in your life. Together, we'll define your values and explore what's important to you so you know where you're heading towards on this journey together.
Exploring a holistic approach
Learn how this practice is integrative. We'll explore the mind-body connection and discuss the whole person approach to your well-being. We don't live in silos. Looking at your emotional, physical, spiritual, social, and financial well-being is essential to taking care of yourself.
Upgrade your lifestyle practices, habits and rituals
Habits, rituals and routines can be incredibly powerful in how supported one feels throughout the ups and downs of life. If the cookie cutter approaches aren't working for you, you're not alone. I'll share an approach to creating realistic, sustainable lifestyle habits and rituals that you'll actually look forward to doing!
Understand your emotions & fill your emotional toolbox
You'll learn the ins and outs of emotional health. Why do we have emotions? How do they work? And of course, how can you best navigate them? I'll share in depth strategies and tools for addressing the wide range of emotions - everything from overwhelm, anxiety, fear, self doubt, heartbreak, sadness, and more.
Break the cycles + Rewrite your story
Learn how to step out of people pleasing, comparison, anxiety, burn out and constant negative thinking with practices like mindfulness, self compassion, hearing your intuition, setting boundaries and more. Together we'll unpack the most common unhelpful concepts and beliefs that keep you feeling small and suffocated.
Relationships. Community. Confidence.
Whether it's having a hard conversation with your boss, navigating conflict with your partner, setting a boundary with your mom or working on finding more fulfilling friendships, your sense of connection and community matters. We'll work through concepts like boundaries, healthy risks, and communication techniques that will help you feel more comfortable and capable with other people in your life.

10 LIVE group coaching calls walking you through the fundamentals of nurturing your emotional well-being and evolving into the best you. Each call is 60-75 minutes on Zoom video. Starting Tuesday, September 29th.

I started my career as a traditional psychotherapist and I have so much love and appreciation for that approach. I have my masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and am a National Certified Counselor. I often infuse the skills I learned as a therapist with my coaching approach. I also received training in coaching and am a Board Certified Coach.
Here are the main differences between coaching and therapy:
Coaching is present and future focused. In the work, we'll take a look at where you are right now and where you'd like to be. You'll engage in long term thinking and goal setting - you'll learn how to hold yourself accountable! My approach is science based and holistic. We'll look at all facets of your life and well-being to help your grow and develop as you move forward.
Therapy is often focused on healing the past, processing trauma and unhelpful repeated behavior. The focus is centered around the past. That being said, in coaching we may still touch on parts of the past as that makes us who we are, but the sole purpose of the work is on the present/future!
The LIVE coaching calls will be about 60-75 minutes each. I also encourage you to find about an hour a week (split up however you'd like :)) to work on integrating and diving into coaching materials.
No biggie! Life happens. I encourage you to be on the LIVE calls as often as possible, but understand that we all have busy lives. The coaching sessions are all recorded and will be uploaded to the group portal within 24 hours. If you know you are going to miss a call, you can always send me questions and I'll be sure to answer them on the call.
We don't wait until we're super sick to start seeing a medical doctor, do we? I like to think of our mental and emotional well-being in the same way! There's no such thing as "bad enough." Chances are if you're having the inkling that it might be helpful to elicit some external support, there's a reason for that. We don't have a lot of space in the hustle of everyday life to think about our lives intentionally, to explore different ideas and to process through the hard parts. If you're ready to look within and get to know yourself really well, learn new skills that will support you throughout the ups and downs, coaching is THE place!
Here's the thing, I know this is a financial investment. I also know that money and finances are a significant aspect of our well-being! I can remember how terrifying it was the first time I made a big investment in myself and my well-being.
Now, I can't promise you that after this program, life will be absolutely perfect and each day will be absolute bliss - but I can promise you that you will have the tools you need to navigate the consant ups and downs that life throws your way. Imagine you could actually trust yourself to handle whatever came your way? When anxiety popped up, you know how to navigate it in a really healthy and loving way. When you don't get the job you were hoping for, you know how to love on yourself and pick yourself back up to continue moving forward. You finally have the confidence to make the social circle and support network you've been craving, etc.
